Jeremy Boudreau, Head of History of Art and the British Institute of Florence, shares his experience and creative (fun/dynamic/sometimes humourous) outlook to explore Florence’s art and architecture for students of all ages. Enjoy a sample of the Institute’s teaching and discover several works selected for the art history department’s one-week course 100 Treasures in Florence designed to commemorate the Institute’s Centenary. From street corner tabernacles to the city’s most recent contemporary installations, Jeremy explores the history, function and style of these works and ponders their potential as tools for educators and the promotion of Florence’s cultural patrimony.
